Nazeela Sabir Awan, MD

Biography

Nazeela Sabir Awan, MD is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician in California, and the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of MDCareNow. She brings extensive clinical experience across urgent care, primary care, and hospital medicine, and is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care through both in-person and telehealth settings.

Dr. Sabir Awan earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of California, Davis. She completed her Internal Medicine Primary Care residency at Yale, where she was selected as a Yale/Stanford Johnson & Johnson Global Health Scholar. During her training, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, awarded Intern of the Year, and recognized for her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to underserved communities.

Driven by her passion for advancing healthcare access, Dr. Sabir Awan is dedicated to providing high-quality, direct physician care to patients across California. As both a physician and a mother, she understands firsthand the challenges faced by busy adults and working parents as they navigate packed schedules, long wait times, and a complex healthcare system.

She founded MDCareNow to solve these modern challenges with a modern approach. MDCareNow provides patients immediate, direct access to physicians — without sacrificing clinical rigor or the human connection central to medicine. Dr. Sabir Awan believes every patient deserves exceptional, evidence-based care delivered by academically distinguished physicians who lead with empathy, integrity, and clinical excellence. Asadullah Khan Awan, MD, MPH

Biography

Asadullah Khan Awan, MD, MPH is dual board-certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He has extensive experience as a primary care physician, addiction specialist, and hospitalist throughout Northern California.

Dr. Awan earned his Bachelor of Science, Master of Public Health, and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of California, Davis, graduating in the top quartile of his medical school class and receiving Gold Humanism Honor Society recognition for compassionate, patient-centered care. He completed his residency training in the Internal Medicine Primary Care Program at Yale, where he was selected as a Yale/Stanford Johnson & Johnson Global Health Scholar.

Dr. Awan co-founded MDCareNow after witnessing how systemic barriers—such as long wait times and limited access—delay essential medical care. MDCareNow was created to reduce these barriers by delivering clinically excellent, evidence-based, and physician-led care through a modern and accessible care model.
